Maybe someone can offer you for its value as jewelry, not just as platinum. Have you connected with someone that buy your ring as vintage platinum jewelry rather than for melting ? Try that first. I agree. It is a shame that so many beautiful precious metal and diamond pieces go to melt. Crazy. It is just that most often people like to view precious metal vintage jewelry, and say the jewels are awesome. However, they buy something else. Well, jewelry stores and not museums.
Talk to the following jewelry stores. They deal with vintage jewelry:
- Guilt
- Gary Germer & Associates
- Malloy
- Margulis
The thing is that the precious metal jewels not only have to be nice, but also marketable. Look those stores online. I have done business with all of them except Malloy.
