Downtown Portland is the best place to sell precious metals.  It is centrally located, has plenty of parking, it is the safest area in the Portland Metro area, and it is easy to be discrete.  Portland Gold Buyers, LLC is located in Suite 305 of the Willamette Building. This is the iconic building with a diamond on top of the entrance, at the North East corner of SW 3rd and SW Alder, in downtown Portland. History and Moniker

I started buying gold in November 2009.   It was not by plan.  This just fell on my lap so to speak.   I had been in Architecture and Real Estate for a long time.   To make it short, I rented part of an office at the Willamette Building for a temporary period of a month and a little more.  Suddenly I became a buyer without even planning.  By the end of the month, I had my City of Portland business license and in business.  I never looked back.

One of the first things I did is get the right moniker.   Here I just followed the obvious.  I am a gold buyer and I am located in Downtown Portland, OR.  Thus the business name “Portland Gold Buyers, LLC“. I chose the moniker “Portland Gold Buyers” because it is evident, obvious and descriptive of what I do as a businessman.  Not only that, it is also a great search term and helps me rank very high on web searches. However, a more appropriate and precise term for my occupation is “Precious Metals Dealer”.  I own the domain PortlandGoldBuyers.com and all similar search based domain that make sense.

One of the first things I did when I decided to get into buying gold was getting the right logo and business card design.   Jody Burnim designed my letterhead and business card.  It works very well.  I have printed and distributed thousands of cards.  I am a confirmed gold bug.  The man represents the gold buyer, the lupe represents the most important tools of the business.  The yellow represents the color of gold.

As a precious metals dealer, I am in the business of buying and selling gold, silver, platinum, and palladium in all their forms. As a side to this, I also buy diamonds. If you want to sell anything that has to do with gold, silver, platinum, palladium and, or dIamonds, we can do business.  Below is a partial list of my offered services.

Scrap Precious Metals Aquisition:  Ideal with precious metals for the purpose of refining them. As such, in this function, my company “Portland Gold Buyers, LLC” is basically a glorified recycling center. It is just that we recycle gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. Most of this is in the form of gold jewelry for melting. If you want to sell any precious metal jewelry, I want to make you an offer

Diamond Acquisition:  I buy diamonds in most of their jewelry applications forms. This is mostly a by-product of buying jewelry for melting since diamonds are highly related to gold jewelry. If you have any diamond jewelry or loose diamonds of any size, I want to make you an offer.

Precious Metals Bullion Dealer:  I buy and sell gold and silver coins and bars. This is the most classical way to save money. Call me if you want to sell or buy any precious metal bullion.

Diamond Dealer:  I sell larger, higher quality, loose diamonds at close to wholesale price. This is very different than dealing with a retail diamond dealer. In this case, it takes maybe more experience and trust on the part of the buyer. However, the price difference is huge with respect to buying diamonds retail

I am not a jeweler. Jewelers are in the business of marketing and selling finished products, meant mostly to be worn, made out of precious metals and diamond, at a retail level. You will not see any jewelry for sale at Portland Gold Buyers, LLC

I am not a Pawn Shop. Pawn shops are banking organizations that lend money based on taking collateral in possession. So I don’t do any loans
